My Story
Kieran Cummins
Chartered Physiotherapist BSc Hons MCSP
I qualified in 2001 from Brunel University and am a highly skilled therapist specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (MSK) and Occupational Health. I have over 20 years’ experience treating a mixed and varied caseload from sports injuries and spinal problems to postural dysfunction and rheumatological problems.
Starting my career in the NHS I spent most of my time working in a rheumatology department treating patients with hyper-mobility (including Ehlers–Danlos syndromes), ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis. I use a holistic approach enabling patients to work towards managing and improving their symptoms. Along with manual therapy (massage and tissue manipulation), advice and exercises prescription, it is my hope that I enable clients to build their strength, flexibility and confidence in undertaking normal day to day activities.
Prior to starting Redrock Physio, I worked in Central London at Bank of America, Barclays Capital and Travers Smith as an in-house occupational health physiotherapist and also in private practice in St Albans. The two main client groups that I treated were those with sports injuries and postural dysfunction due to environmental constraints at work and home. Whether you have an over use injury, a traumatic injury such as a sprained ankle, or you have neck back or shoulder pain caused by sitting for too long in a poor posture, I can help.
My philosophy to treatment is to promote self management with an attainable exercise program. This is driven by manual therapy (massage and manipulation) to help create pain free movement.
